TOP AFRICAN INTERNATIONAL PLUS SIZE MODELS

This week, we have taking time to spot out some our very own African sisters taking the spotlight in the plus size industry internationally via fashion runway or photography modeling. They have made us proud as black and Africans. In no particular order, here are the African International Plus Size Models;

Sunday Omony
Sunday  is an Ugandan-Canadian plus-size model and activist.
Omony started modeling when she was sixteen.She was first spotted by a Mode Models agent in 2002 at a career fair. She modeled for African magazines FabAfriq and Tropics. She has modeled for Italian Vogue, Old Navy and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
She started losing weight when she first started modeling, pressured to be skinny by industry standards. Instead, she became a full time plus-size model. She has been interviewed on the CBC's Daybreak Alberta about her plus-size modeling and activism.

Philomena Kwao
She is a gorgeous a 22 year old Economics graduate of Ghanaian heritage. She is currently doing an MSc in International Health Management and she is Britain’s first black plus size model.
